Local transport and simply affordable direct cremation for $1,095, for families throughout Levy County, including Chiefland, Williston and Cedar Key.
Levy County runs from inland farm towns out to Cedar Key on the Gulf, and the drive between its ends is longer than most people expect. Ground time is the real variable in a county shaped like this, and it is something we plan around rather than pass on to a family as a delay they have to accept.
The same price and the same inclusions everywhere we serve. It does not go up because of where you live or how far we have to drive.
Under hospice care: call your hospice nurse first, then call us, and tell the nurse your loved one is entrusted to Simple Affordable Cremations. We coordinate directly with the hospices serving Levy County.
Not under hospice care: call 911 before calling us. Once officials give their release, we take your loved one into our care.
At a hospital or nursing facility: call us and name Simple Affordable Cremations as your funeral establishment. The facility handles the rest with us directly.
Yes. Levy County is inside our regular Florida service area, including Chiefland, Williston and Cedar Key. Transport is dispatched to the place of death anywhere in the county, and the phone is answered 24 hours a day at (239) 207-0390.
Our service fee is $1,095, the same in every county we serve. It covers transport into our care, sheltering, all permits and filings, the cremation itself, a temporary container named for your loved one, and the return of the cremated remains to your family in person. Three things sit outside it: certified death certificate copies at the Levy County rate, the alternative cremation container Florida law requires, and a medical examiner fee if Levy County charges one. All of them appear on your written price before you authorize anything.
No. Authorizations are signed electronically and every arrangement can be made by telephone and email, whichever state or country you are calling from. A large share of the families we serve in Levy County are calling from somewhere else entirely.
Transport is usually dispatched while you are still on the telephone. How long the drive takes depends on where in Levy County you are, and we will give you an honest estimate rather than a reassuring one.
Florida requires a mandatory waiting period before a cremation, and the medical examiner must authorize it, so most cremations happen within three to seven days of the first call. The variable is how quickly the death certificate is signed and authorized, not anything on our side.
A member of our staff, not an answering service. Whether you are calling from Bronson or from another country, a licensed funeral director picks up. Deaths do not keep business hours and neither do we.
A licensed funeral director will call you back. For an immediate need, calling is faster and someone will answer.
